Beneng is a hamlet in Bali Province where many villagers rely on farming and gardening for their livelihoods. With urbanization reducing available land for agriculture, men often have to seek urban employment, leaving women to support the family by working as construction laborers and crafting trays and baskets for religious ceremonies.
Through collaborative initiatives, the company provide new opportunities for the women of Beneng village, empowering them to participate in various stages of production and fostering mutually beneficial outcomes. It has yielded positive results, offering potential for ongoing collaboration and growth.
Each of their handicrafts embodies the essence of the Indonesian archipelago and is created with immense passion and care. As a testament to their excellence, some of their designs have won the Good Design Indonesia award and the Good Design Award in Japan.
