Lucuma Designs is a fair trade company working with more than 300 artisans in Peru, most of them women.

An ancient craft

The ornaments are made from dried gourds that are hand-carved and coloured with fire, using a technique that is thousands of years old. Birds, animals and nativity scenes come to life in fine detail.
