Handmade capiz shell decor from Cirebon

From discarded shells to home decor

In Cirebon, on the north coast of Java, artisans turn discarded capiz shells into home decor. The shells are cut and set by hand, then sealed so they're durable and easy to clean.

Tealight holders, trays and coasters

Tealight holders, decorative trays, leaf dishes, placemats, coasters and tissue box holders – light, shimmering pieces for a cosy evening or a pretty table.

Care tips

Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
